The
Center Harbor Bicentennial Bandstand, dedicated on July 6, 1997, is a
popular commuitary gathering place. It is the home site of the Center
Harbor Town Band. Formed in 1878 under the direction of Stephinus
Kelley, it is one of the oldest contiually playing ensembles in the
state. Meredith Village Savings bank and private donors
helped make completion of the project possilbe.
