New items are purchased monthly. These include the newest best sellers, fiction, non-fiction, picture books, youth titles, movies on DVD, music CDs and audio books on both CD and cassette. We also own all of the books on the Flume High School List, Great Stone Face Book List and the Isinglass Teen Read List for 2009-2010! Lists of new and upcoming book purchases for children and young adults can be found on the Kids' Corner and Teen Zone pages.
If you would like to be on the reserve list for any of these titles please e-mail the library and include your FIRST and LAST name, library card number, complete titles, format and authors. Please consider donating your books, DVDs, audio books or music CDs to the library once you have read/viewed/listened to them.
Have you read a book lately that you'd like to review? Viewed a movie that you loved? Listened to an audio book that blew your socks off? If so, please send your book review (or just the title) to Amy Inglis at blibrary@metrocast.net We also have a display board where these books are put out so people may see "great finds" by other patrons!

please e-mail them to

INCLUDE the GAME PLATFORM wanted. Games will be
treated like DVDs...any game we get that is rated M for Mature will only
be checked out to those who have adult cards (age 18 and up), or, with a
parent present who gives permission on an underage card. Patrons will be
responsible for any loss or damage to games and charged a replacement fee.
Parents who have signed for children's cards take financial responsibility
for any items lost or damaged by their children.
Console Games will circulate for 3 weeks but will not be renewed due to
the limited number of them in our collection. They will also be fined at
$1.00 per day if they are overdue.
The library also has a small collection of PC Games, mostly geared towards
young children (Harry Potter, Nancy Drew mysteries, and other learning
games) and non-fiction titles such as resume writing programs, family
history, and writing business plans.
We are doing this as "test run" to see how well these circulate, whether
they are returned promptly and in good condition, and on time. Should we
find that any of these factors are an issue, we may decide not to continue
this collection so we ask that patrons take good care of disks and bring
items back in a timely manner.

Compatible Readers:
Sony Readers and Barnes & Noble Nooks are compatible
readers
http://www.overdrive.com/resources/drc/compatibleebookdevices.aspx
The Amazon Kindle is not a compatible reader.
Your PC or Mac computer is a compatible reader! Most laptops and many netbooks
run full versions of Windows or Mac OS and could work nicely for some people as
an eBook reader - especially the small netbooks with long battery life or
laptops that fold into a tablet.
Circulation Period & Early Return of EPUB Titles:
The ebooks will circulate for 14 days.
The ebooks can be returned early. How? Using your Sony Reader Library software,
right-click on the book cover and choose "Return Borrowed Item."
After the 14-day circulation period has passed, if you return to the main menu
of your Sony Reader and try once again to enter into the book, you will get a
notice stating that the license has expired. You will need to recheck out the
title.
Here is a slide show tutorial to help with eBooks on PC:

And for MAC users:

Collection &
Free eBooks from Google, etc.
The collection is a blend of new titles and back list titles.
We won't be adding any out of copyright titles to the collection. Why not?
Because you can get these titles *for free* from Google Books, Project
Gutenberg, and a number of other sources online.
And here's a link from Sony with instructions on using a free e-book site:
