FARMINGTON SCHOOL BOARD

MINUTES OF MEETING OF OCTOBER 21, 2002

NON-PUBLIC SESSION

Brian presented a request for a Freshman Core Team with a stipend attached to it.  He is requesting that the funds come from the original amount of money budgeted for NEAS&C.  Steve brought it to their attention that the funds are not budgeted as reflected in the bud-stats.  

  Brian presented a request from parents to allow student to be out of school for a family vacation.  The request is because the policy was changed prior to the start of school and the parents had booked this family vacation based on the older policy.  Discussion followed. 

  MOTION:                  Dave McGuigan moved to extend meeting to 10:30 p.m.

  Dave McGuigan asked if there were any other candidate for the second language teacher we were advertising for.  Discussion followed.  Steve asked if he were a certified teacher in the State of New Hampshire.  Board asked that it be found out.
