The nonpublic minutes of the November 7, 2002
have been tabled until the next meeting when all members will be present.
Brian presented the following resignation:
Peggy Hapsis effective November 1, 2002
MOTION:
Todd moved to accept the resignation of Peggy Hapsis with regret

Brian brought the issue of the ESL students and the need for a teacher.

feels it’s the responsibility of
this district to educate these children. It
may be difficult and a cost to the district but we have to educate them.
The board is asking Jean to research if we could use this teacher to
teach Chinese to English speaking students.
Another area to research is whether there are other students in the state
that need the services of this teacher.

Todd move to approve the nomination of Enchi Chen as an ESL educator
at $39,718.80
