Minutes of Meeting of November 7th, 2002

MOTION: Todd Lefebrve moved that we approve Mike Lee's freshmen core team at the high school for a total cost of $2160.00

SECOND: Steve Yurick seconded the motion

Discussion: Brian explained the freshmen core team and the need for this additional attention as the freshmen have increasing educational and social needs in recent years.

Steve would like to see where we expended the money out of last year's budget. GF 10 1400 1301-3 $15,419 budgeted.

VOTE: Unanimous

Georgia Garland, 3rd grade teacher left under the FMLA act. Her child has significant medical issues. A letter was submitted. Dorothy Hammond is acting as permanent sub for Ms. Garland's position. FMLA provides up to 12 weeks of leave for family related medical needs. The staff member can use accumulated sick time and the remainder of the time is leave, no pay.

MOTION: Todd Lefebvre motioned to table Mr. Enchi Chen's position until the next meeting

SECOND: Richard Cilley

Discussion: Need to determine his certification status. 

VOTE: Unanimous

 MOTION: Todd Lefebvre motioned to return to public session at 8:05 pm

SECOND: Steve Yurick
