FARMINGTON SCHOOL BOARD MINUTES OF MEETING OF DECEMBER 1, 2003 FARMINGTON HIGH SCHOOL LIBRARY 6:30 P.M. Non-Public Session I Dave Vachon Deborah Briggs, Bus. Adm. Richard Cilley Steve Yurick Brian presented the following nomination: Sue Asselin – volunteer spirit squad assistant – High School Level MOTION: Dave Vachon SECOND: Richard Cilley DISCUSSION VOTE: Unanimous Vickie Brunelle requested maternity leave – beginning April 2nd MOTION: Dave McGuigan moved to approve SECOND: Richard Cilley VOTE: Unanimous Dick Smart officially retired. He has come in and done his final paperwork. Tomorrow is his last day with us. Discussion followed on the position left by Mr. Smart. Brian presented the following resignation Kathleen Bryant – paraprofessional MOTION: Dave McGuigan SECOND: Steve Yurick VOTE: 3 Yes 1 Abstain (Rich Cilley) Brian spoke about a system that was used in the past for administration where they are evaluated and presented with a bonus around Christmas time. We have funds in the budget for this and because this has been done in the past, and the administrators have been working extremely hard dealing with these budget issues, he feels this could be done again. This has been done for principals, assistant principals, pupil personnel directors and business administrators. Discussion followed. Dave McGuigan asked Deb and Brian to leave the meeting for a few moments. Deb left the meeting and Brian returned. MOTION: Dave McGuigan moved to pay a merit bonus of $7500.00 to be equally divided between the 3 principals and 2 assistant principals.
