Brian presented the following nominations:

Tammy Cook                 Softball Coach – Jr. High                $639.00

MOTION:                Richard Cilley

SECOND:                Steve Yurick

Discussion followed on whether we should begin any cutting of programs to save money toward the next year.  Todd feels this is in this year’s budget so he feels we should let things go for this year.  Dave McGuigan understands that maybe we should try and save money this year to put towards next year, but feels we should continue as is for the remainder of the year.  Discussion followed.

VOTE:    4 yes 1 opposed Dave McGuigan

Matt Leblanc         Baseball Coach – Jr. High baseball  $639

MOTION:                Richard Cilley

SECOND:                Dave McGuigan

VOTE:                    4 yes   1 opposed (Todd Lefebvre)

Chris Carpenter                    JV Baseball  Coach   $639.00

No motion.

Dave Fontaine                      JV Softball  Coach    $639.00

MOTION:                Todd Lefebvre to approve

SECOND:                Dave McGuigan

Discussion followed

VOTE:                    Unanimous

MOTION;                Rich moved to reconsider the nomination of JV Baseball Coach

SECOND:                Todd Lefebvre

VOTE:                    Unanimous

Brian nominated Chris Carpenter for JV Baseball Coach for $639.00

MOTION:                Todd  Lefebvre moved to approve

SECOND:                Richard Cilley

Volunteer positions for JV softball and Varsity softball

Dennis Vashey and Suzanne Lassond

Board says ok with background check.

Brian presented the following grant positions:

Raymond Lambert  - Grant 20-1290-1140-0  Project number: 032556

Paraprofessional special education

6.3 hours per day, grant funded. $12.00 per hour

MOTION:                Todd Lefebvre moved to accept

SECOND:               Dave McGuigan

VOTE:                    Unanimous

Carolyn Garvey Swain – Speech program – Grant 20-1290-1140-0 Project number: 032556

$10.00 per hour  3 days week

MOTION:                 Dave Vachon

SECOND:                Richard Cilley

VOTE:                    Unanimous

Discussion followed personnel issues.

Dave McGuigan asked if we have ever addressed whether or not all of our teachers are  certified; if they are in the process of getting certifications if they are not, etc.  Brian explained the process and that it is more an administrative job and not really one of the school board.  He explained that certifications are a condition of employment and that would fall under the job description of the superintendent.  Discussion followed.
