One
day as I stepped out of the shower, untying my gauze wrap while baby got cold
and preparing to juggle baby while I dried myself off on a cold morning, I found
myself eyeing my towel: "I wonder
if I could tie Isaac on with that?" Well,
I couldn't, but I sewed it into a pouch and it worked perfectly! I'm pleased
and proud to introduce the Gypsy Mama Towel Pouch, the first pouch of its kind!
It is the perfect compliment to your water sling or gauze wrap, keeping baby
dry and snug while you take care of yourself! When I'm done with mine, I slip
it over my head, finish drying and dressing baby, and hang it on the towel rack.
A pouch-style carrier is easy to put on while holding your wet baby. Just
slip it over your head and baby's, put your arm through, and spread the fabric
over baby's back and bottom so he is resting against the seam. There is
no adjusting or tying with your towel pouch. Pouch carriers use less fabric
than wraps or ring-slings, and therefore dry quickly and wash effortlessly.
When ordering your towel pouch, measure yourself from the ball of your shoulder to your opposite hip, where you'd put your hand if you were sassing your mama. Send me that number, in inches, or just let me know what size and build you are, and I'll make a pouch that fits you! Currently available in white; I plan to add more colors soon!
