Home SRCOA September 3, 2011 Board Meeting
In Attendance:
Steve Plavin, Steve Rucci, Karen Weaver, Linda Mayes, Maureen Scheuerman, Jim Pepperman, Kathy Saxon and Mark Saxon. Minutes from last meeting were reviewed and approved as written.
Membership Committee:
As of today, we have 212 paid members.
Sunshine Committee:
Donations were made to the Fire Co. and Rescue Squad on behalf of Nero McPoyle.
Adopt-A-Street:
We need someone for Greenwood Rd. (At the General Meeting held after the picnic, Lisanne and Basil Donnelly graciously agreed to accept this responsibility.)
Social Committee:
Approximately 50 people attended the Bring-A-Dish on Aug. 20th which was enjoyed by all and came in on budget! The baseball game on Aug. 26th came in on budget. 30 tickets were purchased and we were sent 40 so 40 people attended for the price of 30 and it was expanded to a tailgate party. Fireworks were good and hats and Wendy’s meal vouchers were distributed. The Beach Luau on Aug. 27th turned into a hurricane hoagie party held at Steve Plavins house where they lost power when 2 of his trees fell. A fun time was had by all! Before today’s meeting, Field Day was held and from 10 am to 11 am there was a softball game and after that there were games for the younger kids from 11 am to 12 Noon. The Picnic for today will bring about 53 adults and 26 kids.
Future Social Events:
There is a Halloween Party scheduled for Oct. 23rd which is a SUNDAY and will be held at the room inside the pavilion. A flyer will be forthcoming to revise the Trim-A-Tree party and will be held on Nov. 26th at 3 pm. The Holiday party will be held on Dec. 30th which is a FRIDAY at 6pm.
Board Elections:
Names will be presented at the General Meeting after the picnic at l pm today.
The next Board Meeting will be held on SUNDAY, October 23, 2011 at 10:30 am in the room inside the pavilion immediately before the Halloween Party.
