Alexandria Ledge Climbers

2009-2010 Season Nov- Dec
Alexandria Ledge Climbers

Welcome: It’s now November and winter is right a round the corner. We still have trail work to do before the big snow fall. The guy’s are working every weekend for anyone that is interested in helping out. Please call744-5497

We will be having our annual Christmas party in December, Pot luck dinner and Yankee sway. Please check our calendar of events for more information.

I would like to relay a story to all of you concerning Landowners and Trails:

Without Landowners permission for us to use there property our sport would cease to exist.

This year we have had multiple problems.

People that have and operate Dirt Bikes, ATV”S and 4 wheel Drive jeeps and trucks need permission too. They need WRITEN PERMISSIOM for every landowner that they go on.

When we get permission for snowmobile clubs it’s for the club and not for other forms of motorized recreation.

If you belong to the snowmobile club in the winter you still need to get permission in the other months.

We almost lost one of our most important land owners this year and without them you can kiss the club goodbye.

We have over 70 Landowners and everyone of them is a very vital part of our ability to snowmobile in Alexandria just think of all the landowners state wide the next time you are our riding there are no visible lines in the snow showing who owns what so we must all be good stewards of the trail to make sure that we have the ability to use there land for a long time. In most cases we are not the people that have created the problem like in our case it was a Dirt biker, however we are the ones the landowner sees and can take it out on.

I am sure you have all herd this before but as property taxes go up and people recourses go down they start to think why should I have this extra hassle if I don’t need it.

PLEASE BE GOOD AND HAVE FUN!

The trail masters meeting is coming up and this year Dennis will be teaching a class on trail work and Drainage how to build a snowmobile trail.

The Fed.Goverment has imposed some new regulations on 501(c) (4) so I will be going to find out about that.

The new shed for the groomer stuff is almost finished it should be a big help to the groomer operators.

Hope You all Have a Great Holiday Season!
